Here's a short novel by Henry James which is easy to understand and quite
light and funny. In the mid-19th century, a European brother and sister come
to pay an extended visit to reserved, puritanical, New England relatives.
Misunderstandings and miscommunications abound as the two cultures meet.
This is a rather early work by James; it's much easier to read than his long
later books.
